Two military spouses. One very specific problem.

We know “Where should we live?” is never just about a house.

Orders give you a destination. They do not tell you which side of town fits the drive, the dog, the errands, the yard, the second worksite, or the version of daily life you’re trying to build there. Tiny detail, right?

How this started

A familiar question needed a better answer.

myPCSmatch started with a frustration we knew a little too well: when you’re moving to an unfamiliar duty station, everyone can give you a list of places. Very few can help you understand which of those places makes sense for YOUR actual life.

We built the first version around JBLM. Then the obvious happened: the same problem exists everywhere. Military households need a useful place to begin before they know the market well enough to ask all the right questions.

So we combined our military-spouse experience with Julie’s mortgage-strategy and systems brain and Aubrey’s real-estate and local-market perspective. The result is not a generic “best neighborhoods” list. It’s a research-based starting point, built around how you live, with the tradeoffs left right there where you can see them.

Co-founder · Mortgage strategy & model design

Julie Shank

Julie is a Senior Mortgage Advisor & Strategist specializing in VA lending, divorce lending, and complicated financial life transitions. She’s also a former Army spouse who used VA loans to buy her own homes, so she knows the machinery of a military move—and the very human decisions wrapped around it.

At myPCSmatch, Julie leads the research framework and scoring logic, with a stubborn insistence that an answer should be strategic, customized, and explainable. “Sounds confident” is not the same thing as “is useful.”

Co-founder · Real estate & market perspective

Aubrey Davenport

Aubrey is a real-estate professional and Army spouse whose work starts with the decisions buyers, sellers, and military households actually face—not the cookie-cutter sales pitch they’re expected to squeeze themselves into.

At myPCSmatch, Aubrey brings the boots-on-the-ground market lens: how a place works in real life, where the common assumptions fall apart, and whether a result is actually useful to someone arriving with orders and approximately a thousand unanswered questions.

What we believe

The right answer is uniquely yours.

Start with real life.
A technically “great” area is irrelevant if it doesn’t fit the way your Tuesday actually works.
Show the tradeoffs.
Every choice gives you something and asks you to give something up. A useful recommendation says both parts out loud.
Let the evidence get better.
The model should be consistent, explainable, and willing to change when stronger data or real-world feedback says it should.
